Payment methods & terms
Kaz Design Works accepts payment by cash, cheque, email transfer (bank to bank) and by credit card using PayPal. Payment for new clients is 50% prior to the start of your project, with the balance due on completion. For regular clients, payment is 30 days from date of invoice. For late payments, interest of 2% per month (24% per annum) will be charged on all outstanding balances. We offer 2% discount to clients paying by cash or cheque if the entire balance is paid in full at the time of their order or at least five business days prior to the start of their project.
Our fees are competitive and affordable
Kaz Design Works is dedicated to providing you with cost-effective solutions for your graphic and website design needs. Before we quote on a project, we like to establish your budget to determine what you can afford so that we can provide the best solution within your budget.
Our design rates therefore may vary for each project depending, not only on the type of project (graphic design, website design, project management etc.), but also on the size of the project (number of pages) and complexity of the content as well as number of revisions.
For small, one-off projects, such as posters, 1 or 2-sided flyers and business cards our rates are on a per item basis and generally include up to two revisions. We may charge for additional revisions or additional time spent on intricate designs particularly where the original instructions are changed, but we will either advise you in advance or let you know if your expectations are exceeding your budget or our estimate, so that we may find an alternative solution where necessary.
For larger projects and repeat publications, such as multi-page brochures, catalogues, newspapers & directories we charge by the page. The page rate is determined by a number of criteria: the number of issues, number of pages, page size, and type of content. First issues may include additional fees for cover design, page layout designs and initial pagination. This fee may be spread over the first year of publication. For some publications, we may charge separately for ad designs and additional revisions.
For large format items such as banners and signs, we charge by the hour. Once we have discussed your requirements we will provide you with an estimate of the time we expect to complete your project. Again we will advise you in advance if changes to the original instructions will cause additional charges.
We try to keep our rates as low as possible by offering graphics packages and suggesting alternative solutions to help reduce the cost to our clients. We advise clients on tight budgets to give us as much information as possible before a project begins and to ensure editorial content has been edited and proof read prior to submission, to avoid extra charges for additional revisions.
