What are the Current Colour Trends for Websites
The most popular website colours for 2008 were blue and green with blue continuing to be a popular choice throughout 2009.
Through 2010 and into 2011 we are seeing websites with a lot of white space, and pale grey gradients have become a popular colour choice for backgrounds and boxes. Splashes of colours such as red, blue, green, black and orange are often used for accentuation for buttons, badges and menu bars.
We are still seeing a lot of blue websites. It seems to be a very popular choice with our clients, probably because it is a very versatile colour, helping logos and text “pop” off the page. With so many shades of blue available, it’s no wonder it’s still a popular choice.
Colours for your website.
If you already have a logo and print material, when we create your website, we will closely match your colour scheme.
If you are a new business and haven’t already had your logo designed, consider how the print colours will look on your website. Not all print colours render well on screen and vice versa.
